Louisiana State Police Superintendent Mike Edmonson received an award Saturday for his work unifying state and local police departments. Edmonson traveled to Adamsville, Tenn., to accept the Buford Pusser National Law Enforcement Award. The New Orleans Fire Department quickly took control of a fire that broke out at 3715 N. Robertson St. on Saturday about 4:40 p.m. An unidentified teenage boy was rescued from the interior of the building and treated with oxygen before walking to an ambulance under his own power.
